The future of student residences (2022)
This project is located in the Technopôle Angus eco-district, the first LEED ND Platinum certified neighbourhood in Quebec. The 73,800 square foot building features 123 student residence rooms on six floors.
It is a double-skinned building, as an architectural metal mesh surrounds all the façades. With its superior finish, the building is particularly effective in combating noise and is equipped with high-performance windows. Its walkways provide easy and quick access to the apartments.
Sidcan carried out the entire project, with components such as a green roof with terrace, relaxation areas and common rooms as well as the spaces dedicated to the future food service.
La Rose des vents received an honorable mention at the prestigious World Design Awards competition in 2020 for its exceptional architectural signature.
Like phases 1 and 2 of the Cité Angus condos, this building is part of an energy loop linking all the buildings on the central block.
